I met Lauren whilst she was still at school when I worked with her mum Joy at Westbourne Sports College. The first thing you ever noticed about Lauren was her infectious smile. I only found out recently that she had been battling this unforgiving disease, but I can imagine that she kept that smiling face on whilst going through her treatment. I know from her closer friends that she fought it to the very end which I commend her for. So very very sad to hear she lost her battle this morning, but pleased she is no longer suffering. My thoughts and prayers with Joy, John and Rob. I hope they find solace in the fact that she was loved by hundreds of people and she will be sadly missed. Sleep tight Lauren xxx
